Service terms

The conditions for using the Smart COD AI merchant service and WooCommerce plugin.

Provider and scope

Smart COD AI is provided by the business trading as Excellum, whose full legal identity and registered address are stated above. The service is intended for merchants operating online stores. These terms cover the hosted service, account and plugin connection; your store remains responsible for its own sales to shoppers.

What the service does

You configure COD restrictions, fees, advance payments and delivery-history rules. The server evaluates the supplied checkout context. Courier lookups require supported tracking and may be unavailable or inconclusive. A cancellation is not proof of refusal; a return does not establish its cause. The decision record identifies the checks and any ML score used. The service supplies decision support and does not guarantee payment, delivery or prevention of losses.

Plans, trial and taxes

Prices are shown exclusive of VAT; applicable tax and the total are determined at checkout from billing country and customer status. The checkout states the billing interval, store allowance, trial end and next charge. An eligible seven-day trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before its end. A trial is not a payment. The account and billing portal show the subscription’s current dates and status.

Renewals and cancellation

Subscriptions renew at the disclosed interval until cancelled. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and preserves access until the paid period ends. Plan and interval changes take effect as shown in the confirmation screen; an upgrade requiring payment is not activated until payment succeeds. A downgrade can reduce available store places. Existing PRO licences

Where the migration offer is available, verify the email and License/API key of an eligible yearly PRO license at checkout and select a Smart COD AI plan. A card is required. The first charge is scheduled at the verified PRO expiry; the subscription then renews at the selected interval unless cancelled earlier. PayPal PRO renewal remains separate and is not cancelled automatically. Cancel one of the two subscriptions before the period ends if you do not want both to renew. Compatible settings are prepared for review before saving. The previous Smart COD plugin is deactivated only after Smart COD AI settings are saved successfully; saved settings and WooCommerce orders are retained.

Merchant responsibilities

Protect account credentials, connect only stores you are authorised to manage, supply accurate data and test settings before relying on them. Maintain an appropriate legal basis, shopper notices and any required processing arrangements for each purpose, including network participation. Do not probe people’s identifiers, create blacklists for unrelated uses or submit unlawful content. Provide a suitable route for reviewing and challenging checkout outcomes. Availability, support and suspension

Support conversations and private attachments are available in the account portal. Do not upload passwords, API keys, card details or unnecessary shopper data. Service, payment-provider and courier availability can be interrupted. No specific response time or uninterrupted availability is guaranteed unless separately agreed. We may proportionately restrict unlawful use, security abuse or access without a valid entitlement, with notice where practicable. A verified store connection and an active subscription are separate states.

Refunds, liability and mandatory rights

Our voluntary refund offer allows a request within seven days of the first annual payment. Contact support with the relevant subscription or payment reference so we can assess the request. This offer does not replace mandatory rights, including any applicable withdrawal, digital-service conformity, compensation or complaint rights. Business customers and consumers may have different rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Billing disputes can be raised through support without affecting your right to use the competent courts or authorities.

Changes to these terms

The date above identifies the current published text. Material changes will be communicated before taking effect, with their effective date and any choices required by law. Where fresh acceptance is required, it will be requested explicitly. Publication alone does not retrospectively change a previous acceptance record or remove accrued rights. Changes to processing purposes are also reflected in the relevant privacy information.
